| Current philosophy: Choose friendship. Things you do not do to a friend... you do not lie to your friends, you do not cheat your friends, you do not fight your friends. If you do, are you really a friend? Aloha everyone! I was born in 1951 and raised on Maunalani Heights above old Kaimuki town in Honolulu. Living a strange backwards life. The quick version turned 18, graduated high school, got married all in one week in 1969. Had a son, lost my wife in child birth, got depressed, got a job, lost my son, made my money, beat the depression, met wife #2, retired, got married had kids. All this between 1969 and 1989. Moved my family to Nevada in 1991. Since then the family gained a daughter, lost a stepson and wife, gained a wife and a dog. The day I turned 21,000 days old we lost our dog to old age at 10:03PM on 30 November 2008. After 4,044 days it was a hard pill to swallow for all of us. So now there are four of us. On 3 October 2009 we got a new puppy. His name is Odie. As for hobbies, they are many and varied. Sports include baseball, martial arts (especially sumo), archery, bowling, biking and hiking. Other things that interest me include astronomy, geology, mathmatics, physics, music, travel, window shopping, carpentry, puzzles (jigsaw, sudoku, crossword to name a few), museums, languages. That is all I can think of at the moment but I am sure I have forgotten a few more. Unfortunately, an inherited health problem has started affecting my life much earlier than anyone else of my generation in my family. That has pretty much curtailed all the physical stuff and some of my mental abilities. For those of you old enough to remember what IQ meant, mine has fallen more than 50 points. That is life so far, at least the first 21,350 days up to 14 November 2009. | |
