Your personal background.
Richard Johnson manages a number of websites, covering ethical and environmental issues. He is director of IT-Green, a recycling company, dedicated to the recycling of computer hardware. In addition to this, he oversees a website dedicated to tackling global warming issues. Both sites offer advice and advertise services aimed at those looking to recycle their waste ethically. They also tackle the slow response of many governments failing to recognise pollution, dwindling resources, extreme weather conditions and a warming of the world globally.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
IT-Green has an excess of processing power and access to many obsolete, yet fully functional computers. Whilst not top of the range, these computers need to be put to good use. Rather than simply applying this excess processing power to one project, we decided to distribute the power and einstein@home seemed the next logical step. We're still adding in more computers as we go and hope to have between 6 and 10 machines running by January 2008.
