Your personal background.
Ever since I was a boy, I have been fascinated by the night sky. This led me to get my degree in astrophysics from the University of Toronto in 1988. My other fascination has been with the way people learn. This led me to become a teacher: a Montessori teacher during the day, and a public science educator and writer in the evenings.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching science at a science museum, an observatory, and a planetarium. Now, I write science curricula and teach other teachers how to teach science, all the while instilling a love of science in my students during the day.
