Profile: EB_Foster

Your personal background.
I'm Elizabeth Foster, from Northern Idaho - born 1956. I currently work as a technical administrator for a photo studio, previously I've worked as an electronic technician at Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Controlled Thermonuclear Reasearch division, working on magnetic fusion research. I've been involved with computers since I was in High School in 1973.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I grew up in a scientifically oriented family. My father was a nuclear physicist (PhD, Cornell, 1956) who was an early user of computers in his work. Since I haven't been able to find work in the scientific community since I left Los Alamos, I'm delighted to be able to make a contribution to science again.

As a Geekette, how could I resist? I'm finally doing something of real value with my computers!
