Profile: DONALD J ZELAZNY

Your personal background.
Greetings, as a 52 years young individual living in Rochester, NY, I make my living as an automotive technician, although I am attempting to get into the science of theoretical physics.

I have been a student of Quantum Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Astronomy since I was a child. I find it a fascinating subject. However the more I learned of the nature of matter and the Universe, more questions arose in my mind. It was then I began the study of the Eastern Philosophies of which I found the concepts of Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Chinese thought, Zen, etc, all had the same views of nature and the mind long before what modern physicists are discovering(or should I say re-discovering) at this time. That matter is essentially "mind stuff". In pursuit of finding my true "Self", where all answers are intuitively manifest, I began the Spiritual teachings of Self Realization Fellowship, whose founder Paramahansa Yogananda became my teacher on the difficult path of Self or Soul discovery. After 28 years, I have a greater Love and understanding of the human condition as well as where we are going in our journey through life's ups and downs. I am not a saint by any means, however this path has opened undreamed of possibilities in my life, and I hope to share them with anyone with an open mind and heart
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I feel any contribution I can make to better the human understanding of the cosmos is a task that I fully enjoy.
This project is great, as it allows individuals to contribute their computers for a more positive goal than just surfing the web just for pleasure, although I feel there is nothing wrong with web surfing as long as it's results are of a learning nature.
