Profile: Julian Burov

Your personal background.
Hi, I am from Bulgaria.
I am professor in the Department of Solid State Physics and Microelectronics at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”, Bulgaria.
Laser methods for measuring of very small periodic displacements up to billion times smaller then the size of atoms (Applied Optics, 28 , N15, p.3343, 1989) were developed in large frequency range by me.
Today fast algorithms for digital processing to detect unexpected small a.c. or pulse signals, deeply buried into big noise are opened out by me and my post-graduate students.
I am finding this project (Einstein@Home) very promising because it is connected directly not only with Einstein’s concepts about the space, energy and matter, but also reveals the very important role of the science, the new high technologies and the collaboration for the human progress as well.
