Your personal background.
I'm a computer engineer in Leeds, UK, working for a communications company. As a hobby, I look after laidback.org - several multiuser systems, which are used by friends, students and clubs for various things including mail and web, but we've also got some weather projects, lots of databasey things, and various real-world interfacing things going on.

Other things that keep me occupied are scuba diving, motorcycles, looking after PA kit for bands, astronomy, weather, DIY, electronics and friends and family. Never a spare minute here!
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
As we've got all these computers running all the time anyway for the users that rely on them, it makes sense that when our users aren't using the clock cycles, somebody else might as well put them to use. After all, it is winter, and the extra CPU heat is appreciated!

There are three Boinc projects running here, <a>Einstein, <a>Seti and <a>CP.net, as astronomy, communications and weather are all things I take an interest in anyway. It's nice to be able to help out.
