Editor, Society of Physics Students publications (American Institute of Physics, College Park, MD). For the World Year of Physics, I have been writing a column that annotates Einstein's 1905 papers and others (e.g., his papers of 1917 on lasers was done, and his 1917 paper on cosmology--and its aftermath--are in preparation).

Speaking of Einstein, at SNU I teach a general relativity course every other year. In addition, this semester I am teaching a course called 'Einstein's Ethics,' discussing Einstein's essays on matters of conscience, such as human rights, pacifism, and arms control.

Personal hobbies: art enthusiast, saxophone player; avid motorcyclist; restoring a 1941 Studebaker.

Age: Grew up on the Beatles, my favorite band.
