| Your personal background. |
My name is Di. I am from Maryland. I am aka "aerofandi". I am a 50 year old female w/ Cardiomyopathy. While I have many physical limitations, I can still use my computer. I thought this project would help mankind and found it to be very interesting. I must confess, I don't know what the hell I am doing!
This project started (for me), as info I was gathering for my 28 year old son who is a science buff. After e-mailing him all the info on this project, I thought I would use the info I obtained myself and become a part of Einstein@Home, science history in the making. In some small way, I would be contributing to education in the sciences. I use a broadband connection, so I thought that would be useful in helping Einstein@Home to gather data for this project.
Now, all I have to do is learn how to use this program.

| Your opinions about Einstein@Home |
The reason I decided to run Einstein@Home is to become part of a project that I thought would benefit mankind. In some small way, I would be helping scientists to gather much needed data to learn more about the enviroment in which we all live.
I think the Einstein@Home project is a wonderful idea! Using the support from computers around the country to learn and educate mankind on your findings is brilliant! You can gather more data, in less time by appealing to the masses.
I hope you aquire a large following of computer users for all of your projects. I will help to spread the word.
I was informed by my son that there is also a project to use radio waves to look for other intelligent lifeforms. That sounds very interesting as well. Maybe someday we will be able to "phone home" to E.T.! I would like to learn more about that project as well.
