Your personal background.
I was born in 1960 and work for the Federal Administration in Germany. I am married and very interested in computers, megalith history and astronomy (black holes, near earth objects).
I am convinced that the history of mankind was strongly influenced by the impact of comets and asteroids. One of them was the "deluge comet" about 7552 before Christ which terminated more than 90 percents of mankind causing dramatic changes of world climate. This impact was also the origin of "doomsday", which plays an important part in Christian religion. The Genesis and the Revelation of St. John of the Christian bible are a correct historic description of what happened to earth after that devastating impact (Tsunamis, impact night etc. at the beginning).
Such a “doomsday impact" might happen every 10000 years. Therefore the next one could hit planet Earth within this century. A deflection system based on artificial gravitation would be very effective to defend us against such a threat. Therefore we have to explore gravitation and gravitational waves.

Your opinions about Einstein@Home
In my opinion distributed computing projects are comparable with the old stone circles of the megalith centuries. The stone circles were used for astronomy and religion. Their builders wanted to explore the position of mankind in time and space. For that purpose the whole community had to work together to build those "supercomputers of the stone age". The picture above shows me 2005 at the stone circle of Callanish on the Outer Hebrides (north-west of Scotland).

Today we are doing that again in a worldwide community using the BOINC-software. Our computers are contributing to answer some great questions of mankind. I prefer space related projects, because their results cannot be abused by companies for economic purposes. To explore gravitation is one of the greatest adventures of mankind.
