I discovered this project because I was mentioned in Martin Pössel's book "Das Einstein-Fenster - Eine Reise in die Raumzeit" (which is, roughly translated: "The Einstein window - A journey into spacetime").

Just thought this might be interesting ;)
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1. I run this project because I consider it a very worthwhile investment of calculating power. Gravitational wave astronomy will be one of the parts for a better understanding of the emergence of our universe, so my partipication is based on personal interest.

2. The project seems to be working quite well on the technical side (distributed computing). I am not really qualified nor informed enough to judge how well things are done "under the hood", but I think that the scientist in charge have recognised what opprtunity is offered to them, and therefore use it wisely.

3. Perhaps there could be a bit more information provided with the WUs. I would just like to see what my machine is calculating for exactly at any given point. Probably this would slow down the whole process too much, but if the expense was negligible, I would really like to see/read more.
