Your personal background.
Dr. Giovanni Santostasi.
Assistant Professor of Physics and Astronomy at McNeese State University, Lake Charles Louisiana.
I work at the LIGO project as a visitor scientist. My project consists of creating a Detector Monitor Tool (DMT) code called PulsarMon that converts data from the sensitivity strain to useful astrophysical parameters for the search of pulsars as a source of Gravitational Waves.
Beside pulsar astrophysics I'm interested in Galactic Astronomy and Observational Cosmology.
I'm also a semi-professional Italian Chef.
