Profile: Sergey

Your personal background.
Hi,

My name is Sergey. I am 31 years old.
I live near the Hague, the Netherlands and work as a software engineer
for a small company in Delft.

I like reading books on science and cosmology, and one day I hope to
understand what M-Theory is about, deeper than on the popular level.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I think that projects like Einstein@Home are important for the following reasons:

- It utilizes the relatively new way of distributed computing, where people
from all over the world sharing similar interest can participate. It can
also eventually gather a lot of computing power not freely available on
big commercial supercomputers.

- Testing the theory of relativity is important because it helps us better
understand how the Universe operates at large, and by increasing our
knowledge and understanding we can better understand our place and
relation to the Cosmos now and in the far future, when our civilization
will be able to practically utilize this knowledge for greater mastery
of the energies that the Universe provides.
