Profile: Paul J. Heidt

Your personal background.
I'm from Iowa, I only work in space...well I sort of did in my earlier days...back in the mid 1970s in a a big blue cube at the south end of Lockheed in what is known as Silicon Valley. Back then, they used to call the place the Satellite Test Center, Sunnyvale Air Force Station. It later years, it was renamed Onizuka AFS...quite a fitting name. Lots of things have change in these last 30 years.

Einstein@home and other projects are a way for me to be a part of this again. But to be a part of projects such as this, the information gathered is important and we may just make some significant discoveries yet in my own lifetime, but I find the most important things so far are the people I have met and will meet along the way to be the most important.

I belong to a group, DistantSuns. Special thanks to Michael, our group leader...and to Monkey Boy, a friend indeed.

I dedicate my efforts in memory of my goddaughter Justy, my special friend dearest Lady Arafel (These two ladies spirits now travel out amongst the stars), and others out there who just may be Space Squirrells at heart.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
Ever since I was a kid, I have always wondered what is out there. This is a way for me to help find out.
