Profile: Longshot

Your personal background.
I am 56 and a retired Army Ranger (1997). I spent 30 years in the Army. I was a "long-range marksman". The last 10 years in the Army I taught marksmanship, recon skills, camoflage & concealment. I enjoy computers, long-range shooting, varmint hunting, Oklahoma football (go Sooners beat Texas), the stock market and being involved in science projects like this one.

Your opinions about Einstein@Home
My suggestion is to always provide meaningful work (new) and not duplicates to keep crunchers happy stat-wise. I like being involved in a scientific project that studies the universe. It gives me a great feeling to help and be a part of the research. Provide me truly meaningful work and I will provide free computer power for you. I hope you can stay ahead of the curve and not fall into the "useless duplicate" trap SETI@HOME did.
