Profile: Vic. Liersch

Your personal background.
I'm an old man, born in 1952; in Melbourne, Australia. While I grew up on a potato farm, I showed some mental ability but I joined the Public Service when I dropped out of University. I worked in IT before it became known as IT. It was EDP (Electronic Data Processing) in those days. I was lucky enough to retire early - at the age of 44 - and now spend most of my time on the internet doing all those things I couldn't when I had a job to do.

I play Bridge (the card game), Lawn Bowls (the biased type) and pub pool (Cue-sport - 8_ball). These things and my computer keep me very much occupied when I have no job to go to!

Unfortunately, I can't spend all my time on-line, so BOINC may as well use the resource when available.
