| Hi there all you peeps out in number-crunching BoincLand. Name's John and I'm currently setting up shop in the SF Bay Area, Alameda to be precise. I graduated Case Western Reserve University with a BS in Physics and I'm currently engaged in some independent research dealing with calculating entropies of generalized wormhole geometries using techniques from loop quantum gravity. I'm also revisiting the results of some previous work on ways of violating the Hawking-Penrose singularity theorems that I did under the expert eye of Prof. Tanmay Vachaspati (CWRU), taking into consideration potential factors such as large extra dimensions, dark energy, Lagrangians with 1/R-type dependence (astro-ph/0410031), among others, and seeing where it leads. As for Einstein@Home, it would be truly wonderful to catch a gravity wave or two, but what might be even more interesting is if we don't ;) |
