Your personal background.
My name is Aldo and I'm from Australia.

After I finished college I worked in Electronics for 12 years before I became a teacher - of Electronics. Since then I have moved from electronics to computing and even went back to university to formalise my qualifications in this area.

I grew up in Perth on the west coast of Australia but starting as a teenager I began zig-zagging my way over the continent until I ended up as one of those few people who have acctually seen most of their own country. I ended up working in Sydney on the east coast but after a few years there I got itchy feet again. And so, I have been living and working in China for the last 3 years.

I'm 51 years old and since China is almost 20% larger that Australia - I may be here for a while :))

My English name is Aldo, my Chinese one is Ou Xiang and I love my planet. I'm from Earth and my nationality by choice is Terran.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1. Grid networking has no borders and uses the power given to it by the people of the internet to solve the big questions of humanity. Cosmological problems are the biggest and Einstein looms large here. It pleases me to know that I'm contributing in some small way to the greater benefit of my people.

2. Einsteins' work will not be over until a GUT can be found. This project pushes his work forward and explores the edges of his ideas and it is only by such exploration that we can work out how those edges knit back into the fabric of this universe and - maybe - find his long sought after GUT.

The work of this project is very worthwhile and meshes well with my own life long interests, which had their origins in the discovery of SF as a child and the gradual realisation of what science was.

3. Keep pushing the edges and by doing so remind us all of why we are truly here.
