Profile: Elezer Puglia

Your personal background.
I was born in Brazil, but also hold Italian citizenship. I am presently living in Switzerland, having lived in different countries already. My original training is that of an electronics engineer who started in digital hardware design, then migrated to signal processing and data communications, then to network administration, then to cryptography and information security. I am married to the loveliest lady in this earth, and we have three grown-up children (already crossed the 50's barrier...) I am a Baptist evangelical protestant who follows the Bible more than any particular religion. I like to play table tennis and to hike in the mountains, and when it's possible I still practice target shooting. I read a lot (my wife says too much), and we like to gather our friends for some wine, cheese and a lot of small talk.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I am no physicist, but an absolute enthusiast of physics in general and astronomy and cosmology in particular. I started as a member of the Seti@home project in its earliest days (I signed up in the very first month of operation), because I thought the idea of giving up wasted CPU cycles for such a project was one of the smartest ways to use the electrons I was paying for anyway. Besides, the idea of helping to find an eventual extra terrestrial intelligence is absolutely appealing. I also try to keep up-to-date with the LIGO project from its very beginning, therefore joining the Einstein@home project was just natural.
