Your personal background.
Hello, I'm a Western Australian Male, born in 1971. I work in the construction industry. I play drumkit and video games and do some electronics construction (mostly of audio related stuff)in my spare time.
I've always been interested in physics and i.t./computers, so I guess my interest in this distributed computing project is the result of an intersection of those things.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
1. Because I'm very interested in cosmology. In particular I'm intrigued by the concepts of gravitational waves, pulsars (binary or not), etc.
2. Don't really have any yet but I hope it is useful/successful to someone somewhere; I mean to the people who distribute the data and collect the reports, it is useful to me in that I derive some satisfaction from it.
3. Maybe if you publicise it more somehow, wherever nerds like me gather, you will get more people running it. I do realise how much "competition" there is for attention on the web though.
