Profile: Phillip Copeland

Your personal background.
I am a classic underachiever, but hopefully, my computer can accomplish something.
I read "Ripples on a Cosmic Sea" a few years ago, and I am hoping that the "new spectrum" will be a commonly understood concept by high school students everywhere during my lifespan, and that at some point, I will understand it. Trying both SETI@home and genome@home, I felt as if some supercomputer out there would completly waste all of our efforts and that my cpu endured all those hours of heat for nothing. I hope this will be different. Actually, I am pretty sure that most governments and commercial industries will be completely uninterested and therefore will give us a chance!
