Profile: Jim BUNKLEY - WB5YIH

Your personal background.
I'm a retired bachelor living in Hot Springs, Arkansas, USA. I'm 64 and worked for IBM at NASA Houston, Texas for 18 years on all space programs from Gemini 5 the moon landing of Apollo, ASTP, and thru Shuttle 3. I worked for the New York Stock Exchange keeping hackers out of the financial data. I then worked for Dell Computers when customers had problems with drivers and other things on there P.C.'s. I have 4600+ work units (#119 on Amateur Radio Operators) averaging 7+ hours each on my home computewr which I built myself. I have been a Ham Radio Operator since 1972(?). I have made about 200 antennas over the years. I built my own 2meter radio and a television from Heathkit. I have enjoyed repairing all kinds of electrical equipment. I was a "SKYWARN" SPOTTER FOR TORONADOs for over 20 years and manned the Ham Radio Station at the NOAA National Weather Service because their Houston Office was only a few miles from my home.
