Your personal background.
I'm a 40 year old gravity wave sceptic - ie I don't believe that we will find any gravity waves by our present method. So to this end I have allocated some of my computers to try and find gravity waves to prove myself wrong (and I would like to be proven wrong).

Personally I think that we need to have one end of the detector stuck outside of our universe (or at least in an area of zero potential gravity if such a condition exists) then you will be able to detect waves. At the moment I think that we are doing the equivelant of trying to measure the electrical potential of the earth by sticking the two measurement probes in the ground next to each other.

So we are either close to finding gravity waves or we would have to wait for when we can create a 'zero gravity' situation (which I think would be in many years to come).
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I think it's great that the public can do their bit towards further understanding by simply giving scientists access to the spare cpu cycles of their home computers.
