Profile: Jos Ouddeken

Your personal background.
Hi, my name is Jos Ouddeken (m). I am 45 years old and live just outside the very
small town of Kraggenburg in the Noord-oost polder in the Netherlands.
Just about 3 years ago we (my wife, 3 daughters and i) moved here from the more crowded part of the Netherlands, we call "randstad".
As the house we live in is in the countryside, it is one of the last places
in the Netherlands where you can still have a clear look at the night sky.
Especially in winter (though it can get very cold out here)the night sky is really
clear and bright and lot's of planets, stars and galaxies can be distinguished clearly. Modern astronomy, astrophysics and such have been my hobby for
quite some time now. And i now also finally get a chance to have a look at the (closer)stars and galaxies myself as i have bought myself a nice telescope lately.

Your opinions about Einstein@Home
My reasons for joining the Einstein@home project are that i feel i should make some more use of processor time, instead of running silly games and screensavers.
Any normal application uses only about a few percent of processor-capacity anyway,
so why not let others share the fun ! By the way, i am also running the Seti@home project (again) simultaneously.
