Profile: EastTexasYes!

Your personal background.
I have been working as a family counselor/therapist for 30 years now, but I love science so I am starting to complete my college credits to teach Science in high school. This is a huge risk for me, but I think it will be fun. I look forward to having summers free with my teenage daughter, too.
I live in Tyler, Texas (an East Texas city of about 130,000). We have two cats, Glover-long hair, Old Maine Coon mix, and Tiger- tiger-striped cat with lots of curiosity.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
Curious, I guess. I did not realize the screensaver would be so beautiful!
I think it's a great thing to bring folks together without degrees who have some similar undeveloped perhaps interest in science who also want to be a part of something larger than picking up trash along the highway to help their community.

I hope there can be other such projects when this one is over. I like that it honors a decent man who loved learning. Maybe the next one could honor a decent woman who loved learning?

I am not competitive, so I did not join a team at first, but then I thought well some team should have my points.

Hope this is fun and not something taken too seriously.
