Your personal background.
I'm a 43 year old computer service tech originally from Coquitlam BC Canada and currently living in a little village outside Edmonton AB. While I've been a tech for the last 12 or so years I've dabbled as a sideline in a ridiculous number of occupations. Currently I'm covering after hours towing and emergency calls for my cousin's shop, and looking forward to the snow REALLY flying around here this winter. This will be my first winter working outdoors here, and as I'm the local installer for our new hi-speed wireless Internet provider, I'll be up ladders in this stuff to boot!
Stay tuned. I might think of something interesting to say here soon.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I started out with SETI@Home because I want to know if there is intelligent life in the universe. It would be interesting to find out if we're all there is (yawn) or if we are the noisy trailer trash that nobody wants to live next door to :)
Einstein@Home was simply a cool-sounding project that has the potential to supply the next few epiphanies that expand our knowledge of the universe over the next few years. Who knows? It could provide the clue that finally brings about the much sought-after Theory of Everything!
Or we might only conclude that "Pulsars blink". Only one way to find out, right?
