Your personal background.
Hello everyone. I am 17 years old with a high interest in physics and computer science. I plan to enter college this fall at North Carolina State University. I have been a long time participant in the SETI project, and still believe it is worth putting effort into; however, this project seems to me like it has a better chance of producing results as better technology is developed and used such as the LISA satellite, where as SETI seems like a long shot no matter how good our technology gets. So I'm now in both projects, but more of my computing share is going to einstein@home now.

Your opinions about Einstein@Home
My physics interests make this an exciting project to be a part of, although I wish I could find more information on the main page about what exactly this project is searching for, why, how, and more general information about this project. It seems like it was slapped together to gather a strong userbase for later on when advanced equpment will permit a better chance of actually finding some pulsars. Not that this is particularly bad, I just wish I could find more information so I can better know precisely what my CPU cycles are working towards and whether they're actually finding anything or not.
