Profile: Vishal Mukherjee

Your personal background.
Born on the planet Earth in India (Allahabad) and live in Mumbai (Bombay, India).

I've been in the professional world since I was 24 years old and continue to learn. The current part of my journey revolves around the IT world. I've been going down this path since then. I like this field, because I am constantly learning. The greatest lesson I've learned through technology is that you don't have to sit in a class to learn and that the best way to learn is to teach yourself, BUT I do help others where I can.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I started running SETI@home since 20 Mar 2002 after seeing it on television and then got into other projects. I can hardly think of any better way of spending my spare computer time. As into the profession of computer I am also very much interested in the usage of distributed computing. And guess what can be the best practical way to contribute in distributed computing project to find an alien friend from the cosmos. Let the search continue and I'll be there till I am here!

I am also associated with other projects @ BOINC like

SETI@home 20 Mar 2002
World Community Grid 27 Mar 2006
MilkyWay@home 24 Nov 2008
Rosetta@home 27 Mar 2006
Einstein@Home 24 May 2005
