Profile: VinceRN

Your personal background.
Hmmm. Well, I'm forty something, a registered nurse currently doing critical care transport after working in ER for about 16 years. I live a bit north of Seattle but am from Los Angeles. As for hobbies, I'm a scuba diver and an amateur astronomer.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I picked Einstein@Home because of it's relation to astronomy and because I think it's a bit more useful and realistic than "hey wouldn't it be cool if we could find aliens". Right now I'm running this full time on one machine and about 100 hours a week on a second machine and plan to add a third machine that will run this full time. When and if the planet finder BOINC project ever comes out I'll be dedicating a big part of my computing time to that as I think that's really about the most fascinating thing in science right now.
