| Your personal background. |
I'm an Australian electronic engineer living in São Paulo, Brazil. I'm working in the embedded system field, currently playing with ARM microprocessors for banking applications.

Why am I living in Brazil? Well I'm married to a lovely Brazilian woman and well.. I don't have the heart to drag her away from her family, and hmm.. Brazil is kind of a cool place to live don't you think?

I've had some thoughts of making a computer using a DSP chip, for the sole purpose of running BOINC. Unfortunately I've got no experience porting Linux and I havent got the money right now to do it anyway. Will also have to convince the wife though. That may prove more challenging than making the computer! :-D

Some other things that may interest you.. Drongo means idiot in australian slang. So why do I call myself drongo? It's not that I think I'm an idiot (though it would explain a few things), just that I like to play the fool and joke around. Also in tradition of being Australian it is a requirement to be able to laugh at yourself. Especially when you make the most stupid of mistakes. |
| Your opinions about Einstein@Home |
| I run Einstein at home because yes just like everyone else I want my computer do to something useful at least while I'm not using it, and the other reason is that it seems that I am unable to run climateprediction without crashing every single WU :-( |
