Profile: Hugh Hacking

Your personal background.
I live in Cape Town, South Africa - a really beautiful corner of the universe. I am a graduate Electrical Engineer from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. I also hold an MBA degree. Currently I work as a Marketing Executive for a large financial services group! I am still interested in physics and the universe and follow these areas as a layman.
Your opinions about Einstein@Home
I have recently been reading a lot of Cosmology articles and the search for gravity waves is one of the last missing pieces of General Relativity. So Einstein@home has captured my interest. I think this is an exciting project with a great deal of investment based on some very theoretical concepts! But I have a feeling that once we start measuring gravity waves (I believe they are there but we just haven't found them) then there will be many new scientific and engineering developments - possibly even ultimately gravity propulsion systems!!

I would love to see the raw maths and data that my machine is crunching.
