I'm a software developer from Portugal, with a great passion for Distributed Computing. I'm dedicated to AMD processors because I believe they're better than Intel in most ways, if not all. Therefore I crunch for a Team of people also dedicated to AMD Processors, the AMD USERS Team!
If you prefer Intel processors you can come and join us too, because in the end all we do is for helping the higher cause of Distributed Computing.

I run Einstein@Home, and many other projects, because I love Distributed Computing. And altough the BOINC platform may have its problems, I still think that it was the best thing created in the last few years regarding Distributed Computing.
This project is almost as ambitious as SETI itself, and also needs the same humungous amounts of computing power to succeed. Through distributed computing, the scientists and astronomers behind this titanic project can take a shot at revolutionizing our concepts of space and time with a relatively small budget. |
