Looked pretty intensely at Kaspersky for anything network related. Didn't see anything out of the ordinary and compared settings to the other machine. No differences. So while monitoring network activity in Kaspersky, I asked for some more work to top off. No issues with getting the work and the responses were all received correctly. So, chalk the issue up to some transient behavior in either the Einstein server or Kaspersky. Was the first connection to Einstein servers since installing the AV software so maybe the software had to first see the response and investigate it before white-listing the response or something. Problem resolved I guess.
