Yesterday I allowed my big machines to complete the tasks they had before shutting them down. Here in Florida its too hot to be running space heaters in the middle of summer. They will probably remain "off" until ~October. For now I am counting on ARM based units (Piz/Odroids)
Right now at 10:30 AM CDT it is 74F with a 'real feel' temperature of 84F, and also a RH of 73% with a Dew Point of 65F. I think I'll keep my windows closed because later on today it will be in the mid 90's.
I am renting a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo and the a/c went out on Friday so the a/c guys came out on Saturday and fixed it telling the owner that the system was soooo old it needed replacing so yesterday they came out to make an estimate to replace both units, it's an old lock-off unit style but he never splits it anymore. Sunday the a/c went out again so they were supposed to come out yesterday to fix it but called saying 'it's raining and we can't come so will be there tomorrow at 9am', have they never heard of pop up tents they are EVERYWHERE here at the beach!!!! Fortunately for me the rain kept the temps down into the low 80'sF so it was bearable with the small unit in the lock-off part running and several fans moving the air around.

Thank goodness it is actually only 94...
I guess I am going to start most of my systems suspending at 11 am till 8pm till the fall comes.
