    Just stumbled across this one; EVGA is undercutting Amazon a little AND is offering a $50 USD or CAD mail-in rebate on their website for many 980ti models. Hybrid and Classified models are $429 after MIR:

      Don't buy this for BOINC!

      The reason for the price cut is that the new Pascal GPUs are so good. The GTX1070 generally offers a bit more performance than a GTX980Ti at about 90 W less power consumption. This balance is probably shifted a bit in favor of the GTX980Ti at Einstein because of its higher memory bandwidth - but that difference is not large. What is large, though are the savings due to the energy consumption of the newer card: running 24/7 in Germany this would yield about 200€/year savings if you choose the GTX1070 instead! You local value will differ.. but the GTX1070 is not that much more expensive and will pay for itself quickly.
