Hello all,

after creating an account for Einstein@home my username is listed 2 times in the stats files, because I have a different cross project id for einstein than for every other project.

Any suggestions what to do, to get those 2 times into one without losing credits ...

regards
Markus

Wrong cross-project ID

Just leave it alone. It'll match up after a few server contacts.

assuming you used the same email address for all projects.

There are a few things that

There are a few things that must be true for CPIDs to line up.

1) You must use exactly the same email address including case.
2) There must be a path from project server to host to project server that covers all projects. Pools of hosts that are running exclusive sets of projects will never get updated to the same CPID.
3) All projects that need to change need to be contacted with the correct CPID. 4.19 and earlier the client selects the numerically highest internal CPID. 4.20 and higher, the client selects the project with the earliest join date as the holder of the CPID and uses that one.
4) The projects must export the stats xml file.
5) The stats site must import the stats xml file.

Please note that there are two CPIDs - the internal CPID and the external CPID. The internal CPID is hashed with the email address as is to generate the external CPID (this is why the case of the email address is important). Some projects show the internal CPID and others show the external CPID on their own sites. The ones that show the external CPID can be distinguished because they say something like "as seen on external stats sites".
