Hello dear Cafe Einstein , I am new here and I am so happy that i can post my thoughts in Cafe Einstein ,
because with Seti at home , it was impossible , given i have not any credit and perhaps i would not get any because of a technical problem that i have with my pc and its poor memory and its windows xp .

The AMD K6 is a notoriously poor floating point performer, however otherwise it was kickass (I had one). The pertinent word there is 'was'. It is old, and buying a new machine is no miracle. You could buy a second-hand PC, it wouldn't be too expensive.

Anyone remember those horrible Cyrix Pentium rip-offs? Sometimes I used to think my old 386sx 40 was faster at maths. I almost cried with joy when I got my K6 :D

Even so, her machine has less than 64meg after the OS loads. It might be slow and crappy but it would be adequate if it had the necessary amount of RAM. I mean come on, another 64meg stick of RAM wouldn't cost more than $10 and then she could at least contribute some cycles.

Just a dumba$$ broad,

Dear Mrs. anon, thank you for your suggestion for buying a new second hand machine, but for the moment this very simple solution would be like a
miracle for me , because the pc i have just now is already a third hand pc offered temporarily to me by me cousin, it is why i said that for the moment
i can do perhaps not much for getting any credit , of course apart the occurence of some miracle LOL, "impossible is possible "

Regards

Ariane
