So far, I haven't done any work for E@H (more importantly, I don't have any credits!). I don't have enough free space on my notebook computer's hard drive at present, so the server message keeps coming back to say I can't handle any work.

However, I have lots of space on my attached Firewire drive, which is plenty fast, I think.

The latest problem is that I can't see how to change BOINC's working directory to be on the auxiliary drive. My E@H general preferences page tells me where the data are but gives me no choice in the matter. (Even on my main drive, I wouldn't want BOINC data where they've put it, but that's another matter.)

So, is there any way to change that working directory so I can get to work and find some gravity waves, totally super-novas, etc.?

thanx

On Linux I would suggest a symbolic link. There
should be a Windows equivalent.

Nothing that works quite the same (i.e. without the program being aware of it). The only Way I can see is to install the Client and thus the BOINC direcory on the external disk instead of under the default "Program Files" path.
