i was wondering if thats right. why am i running two diffrent projects at once? wouldnt it be better to run 1 at super speed?

i have e6600 overclocked to 3.0 Ghz taking it to 3.7 tonight.

thanks

I am not an Intel expert (I am using an AMD Opteron with 2 cores) but I think you should enable a Hyperthreading mechanism to run a program on two cores. I think the Pentium 4 had such capability but the Core 2 has not. Please Intel fans, do not shoot me if I am wrong!

acutally you dont.
i have 3.6 ghz you just need to make sure when you set perfences its at 100% and run nothing when its benching. it pushes cpu based on the bechmark.

i have 100% on both cores... temps around 52-55

yes, it's exactly correct.

You are running two different tasks from the E@H project simultaneously because your host is a dual core. As long as nothing else is trying to run, each task will be consuming virtually 100% of the core on which it is running. If you were only running one task you would have an idle core and the running task wouldn't complete any faster. You are therefore running under optimal conditions.

The science app is not able to split the processing of a task across multiple cores.

I hope you have a good cooling solution :-).

Cheers,
Gary.
