Sam Creecy, retired from FSU and living near Havana, FL. Was born and raised near Texarkana, Ark. Began shooting rifles at the age of 6. Parents are both Texans. Does it all add up? I'm married to my excellent wife, Janne (Jan). We are adopted by 8 starved rescue cats, all of whom seem to have preferred our house to others in the neighborhood.
I worked in the computer/network support field while at FSU. However, my preferred area is electronic circuit design. That is, I make/made prototypes for various applications; mainly data acquisition circuits to be used in the Oil Patch. Unfortunately, they don't (can't) do electronics at FSU. I will omit any further opinion for now.
Hobbies - Photography, circuit design, motorcycling(Honda VT1100), online gaming (Eve Online, WoT, IL2 Sturmovik & mods), reading.
Feel free to email me. I actually read email, sometimes.

Why? - In a day and time when charity is squelched by excessive taxation, Einstien and other BOINC apps, are charities I can afford in retirement.
Also, I need a room heater in my home office. I've found that my Dell Studio XPS fills that role quite well when it's constantly grinding BOINC applications. The cats like the extra warmth also.
Project Views - Pulsars, neutron stars, magnetars, black holes are all very interesting gadgets. I imagine these modified stars are inhabited by Very Flat People driving their very flat cars on 2 dimensional freeways. This must be a problem near airports! In that Einstein helps to further understand these things, I like it.
Suggestions - Possible future uses of pulsars. Example: Use a pulsar as a core in a massive alternator. Free energy, anyone?
