I consider me to be a cluster of some 3 x 1013 cells with some additional (mental?) field, although not very deeply understood yet. And I love natural sciences. I was interested in nature that surrounds us from my very childhood. When I was about seven I was absolutely impressed and fascinated by our Universe, astronomy and (mostly) by astrophysics, although I did not understand a lot of those at that time. Afterwards, I started being interested also in other fields - biology, psychology and other similar staff. For example, by a common stone lying in front of my feet. Plopping water. Perfect stone, perfect water... Finally, it lead to completing of a PhD degree in nuclear physics - I contributed little bit to understanding of the strong nuclear force in the nuclear matter and an application of nuclear physics to calculation of neutron star properties. Now I conduct research/computer simulations on radiation damage of human DNA molecule in Japan - merging a study of the human body with computers, mathematics and physics.
Nevertheless, science is not the definitive answer to all our questions about the existence, and I have yet another way of fulfilling the purpose of our presence in this world - a complementary way - which is very simple. Zen meditation. Although seeming like paradox or a modern cliche, this has very deep reasons and arises from my very essential feeling of the world. Zen Buddhism has close relation to the (especially quantum) physics and wonderfully and surprisingly match each other. No words are needed further. Just sit down and feel the true and amazing nature of the Nature...
1. A breakthrough in our view of the Universe (as a direct consequence of detection of the gravitational waves) is definitely worth of running the project, especially if someone is very interested in cosmology and particle physics.
2. Very positive, I highly appreciate also quality and flexibility of the people behind the project, proven, e.g., by a quick reaction concerning the optimized applications in the recent time.
3. Keep doing the good job and promote this project as much as possible. The more promotion means the more users and the sooner cosmology and gravitational physics boom.
