Background
Studied electrical engineering at the University of Louisville; graduated in 1980. I work as a database and software designer. Love travel and languages, and flying airplanes - I lived in Germany for nine years, and now I live half of the year in Louisville, USA, and half in Montreal Canada, where my wife is from.
Opinion
Einstein@home and the search for gravitational waves is one of the most intriguing projects currently underway - I'm very happy to be a part of this crowd-sourced data-crunching community. I feel certain that someday we will find conclusive proof of gravitational waves - and that will be a real watershed moment in the history of astrophysics - and in human history as well. Kudos to all who've put together this project.
Let's all keep working to increase participation in Einstein@home - not just to help the project, but to advance interest in science - Something that's sorely needed.
