I am a professor of physics at Spelman College in Atlanta. When not occupied by that, I write, build things (physical and electronic) or go camping and hiking with my border collies. They have the metabolism of a battery.
I run Einstein@Home because I began life as a relativity theorist, specializing in quantum gravity and cosmology, before I wandered into physics education research. I haven't done any gravitation theory in a long time but that is still how I think of myself. Besides, Albert was my childhood hero.
I think the whole idea of distributed computing is brilliant, and have run projects like Seti@home as well. Just please fix the Windows screensaver. Blank screens are boring.
