School started today so we are back to crunching. Admittedly, I did not keep up with news or happenings here much during the summer. If someone was willing, is there anything notably different since the end of May? I know it could be stated "go read the forums" which I am willing to do if I have direction of what to read. Bullet points are helpful!

Thank you all, good to be back crunching with a new group of students this year.

Good to have you back!!

The most immediate thing is that Einstein will be shut down Monday & Tuesday, Aug 14/15, due to necessary maintenance work on the electricity supply.  They will be down at around 6am UTC Monday and plan to be back up around 5pm UTC on Tuesday.

Myself, I've got an EPYC system I'm getting set up.  There is some more, but I can't think of it all right now.

Maybe someone else can fill you in.

I've got the Supermicro H11DSi with Dual CPUs of EPYC 7532 with 32 cores & 64 threads each.

I'm getting it set up today, should be operational this weekend.

WOO HOO!!!

Now you really can play with the cc-config file and really churn out some tasks if you crank it up to 256 cpu cores or even more!! I've got a daul quad core with HT that thinks it's got 16 cpu cores in the pc running 128 thread Yafu tasks with no problem!!
