Well, I live in California, and she lives in the UK. I have Vonage, letting me call ANYWHERE, and she has no international calling plan. So, I always call her. Usually, we talk for about 20 minutes. However; I haven't been able to get her, now, for a few weeks.
She hasn't posted on SETI, here, nor on BOINC... Not like her, at all. I'm getting worried. :-(

That little Wombat is cute at that stage, the guy though is showing his age I think.
Did you know that a "group" of wombats is called a "wisdom"?
No I honestly didn't. Maybe that would be on account of the grey hair, which is normally acquired with age. Lookin' clever huh ? This is the other one's bro :

They have great landscaping skills. A wombat's burrow is an impressive excavation, typically sited in a large tree's root web. Their main health issues are fungal stuff from the forest floor ( a form of deadly mange ) and impacts from large well-propelled metallic wheeled objects. Hence the orphans. [ NB. I'm a quiet conservationist of the old school type ]

This pair is lucky in that they will grow up together, snuggle together, feed together etc. Having a similar smelling being around during early development certainly seems to enhance their health and boost survival significantly. And no, to my knowledge at least, I do not smell like a wombat. But they snuggle to a human's chest I think for the feel of the heartbeat rhythm, in addition to warmth ( a very anthropocentric answer I know ). The good news thus is that surrogacy with humans can work well. I don't raise them but subscribe so that others who do are supported.
