I lost count around new tasks. Looks like it is attaching, getting assigned a task/unit (or a few) and then the tasks/units go into download pending. It times out(?) trying to download, confirms internet connection is ok, supposes that the servers are down, and then starts all over again at the assignment. using stock settings, constant internet connection. any ideas? thx

getting HUGE amounts of data to crunch for Einstein

sorry - i seem to have 300+ tasks currently in download pending status. i have checked the option to be assigned no new tasks at this point.

funny thing is, every few minutes or so, a unit does get downloaded successfully, although throughput is very slow (like 1MB/minute).

for the record, i have dsl through local telco, and internet speedometer pegs over 2.0Mb/sec.

You should set No New Tasks

You should set No New Tasks for Einstein in the Projects tab until the backlog has cleared up.

I seem to have the same

I seem to have the same problem: a flood of new tasks but they stay suspended, never being started. I all ready tried resetting the project but nothing changed. Now I have limited the hd space to prevent excessive download of work units. All the other projects work normally. Anybody has an idea how long this is going to last?

As long as you don't disable downloading CUDA tasks in your Einstein@Home preferences or upgrade your GPU memory so that more than 400 (440?) MiB are available.
