I can't believe I just

I can't believe I just Googled 'Residolaptaa' to check that ..... sigh .... :-)

{ I had a hard day yesterday. I think I met about a dozen Numpties in a row. I reckon there are aliens you know. Not here on Earth. Oh no. They're up in the sky. They have a special Dumb* Ray which they occasionally spray on selected locations on our planet. At night. So smart people go to bed and wake up as Dumb*. It is their way of suppressing our civilization. This I know to be true. No amount of tinfoil is helping here either. }

Cheers, Mike.

* I had a rather longer/emphatic word in mind, but I have to set the example around here don't I ? Just pop in what you think I may have meant .....

I have made this letter longer than usual because I lack the time to make it shorter ...

@Mr Ffing

15. paratialodes - well done, you have 6 correct (in a 4 by 2 arrangement) but with only one (I think) that you should not already suspect

edited to fix a wayward question mark :/ it won't do it again...

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

That's rather more troubling than you can imagine. But I say that about lots of things these days.

{ NON-EXCITING WORD TRIVIA : so I get this fax this morning, as you do, from the local hospital to discover whom of my practice has been admitted overnite. This is a great service, but I think they have hired Yoda to do this for them now. One says GOITRE SIMPLE which is easy to transpose. But another says AWAIT TFR. Now I know Total Hip Replacement, Total Knee Replacement but I can't for the life of me work out what body part that starts with an 'F' which could be subject to Total Replacement. Plus of course it would be something that you would wait for in hospital. Femur ? Fibula ? Frenulum ? Follicle ? Finger ? Flappy-Bit .....

Then there is AF AND F of which I get the first bit : Atrial Fibrillation. However this patient ( different from our TFR above ) clearly has an 'F' to add to their woes. Maybe that needs replacing/removing. Anyway I get the distinct impression that there is/are alot of 'F' about*. Which need actioning. This validates something deep in my soul, you know the sort of thing, epiphany perhaps, that claims something deep about The Universe. Too many F's about & we have to get rid of them ..... :-)

You're right. Mike is having a funny old week. Hmmmmmmm. I wonder if Mike is the real problem here**. Just sayin' ..... :-)

Also we have ANAEMIA UNSP, which probably means 'unspecified anaemia' but could be 'unspeakable anaemia' ( Voldemort's Anaemia ? ) or 'unspectacular' or 'unspoilt, 'unsporting' ...... :-) }

I did. It wasn't there again. Just like that stairs guy :

[pre] Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today,
I wish, I wish he'd go away...[/pre]

I'm merely warming up for the day. I'll be back with some more very fascinating partial solutions. I might Go For Gold later on.

Cheers, Mike.

* ... throws microphone to Sir Rodney Ffing. I sense you may have something immensely valuable to contribute here ? :-)

** I throw this in from time to time. The theory is straightforward : crazy people don't know they are crazy, that's why they are. So if I query myself from time to time then that stops me going that way. QED.

Temporary fumb removal? I expect you'd need to be in hospital for that, and for getting it returned too.

What about flange replacements? Do we have flanges?

The internet babbled on about Texan's for fiscal responsibility, and terrain following radar. If I'd read it anywhere else I might have had some doubts. I'm not sure how you'd treat it exactly though.

I hope that helped :) and that they're better soon!

Could the hospital have muddled up a hashtag (#) with an F (f)? Your patient might have got one stuck in them somewhere...?

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.

I fink you could be onto something.

We do. More than two actually. But we are on open ground at the moment, as it were.

I think Texan wisdom is vastly misunderstood.

Yes. You have ruled out more candidates.

Now Temporary Fax Rubbish comes to mind. A tad self-referential but it fits.

Well we do have patients getting stuck in & around hospitals from time to time. Getting mired in nomenclature is just another variant I guess.

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) A kind colleague has put me out of my misery. No. He didn't shoot me. He suggested AWAITING TRANSFER .... though not a medical diagnosis per se. I mean there are plenty at the local railway station suffering that.

Now I don't want to seem like

Now I don't want to seem like

A SPOILED RAT

but my

TAR SOAP DIAL

doesn't work and some of my

RATIOS LEAP

disconcertingly. I did manage to drive along

A SPLIT ROAD

this morning. You see I was late for work because my clock

RADIO SLEPT

in. Hence I could not

LEAP A STAR

along the way. Also I am wondering what might

AIL DORAS PATE

but it could be

TORPID ALAS

On the upside the local constabulary has a new feedback scheme called

RATE A PLOD

which I might get involved in. One of my patients, who fell over last night, said that he said

DRATS A PAIL

at the time. My yachting friend is upset because his

SAIL PARTED

from the boat and he needs to get a new one. Fortunately he can get that at any one of many

IDEAL PORTS

down on the coast. The chef has served me a special breakfast called

OATS ALA PRIDE

which she seems quite chuffed about. My butcher is also happy as he

SOLD A TRIPE

yesterday. We have already alluded to washing today, but you may still be wondering if I have actually

TRIED SOAP

Cheers, Mike.

( edit ) I sorry if the above

TIRADE APALS

you as I am

A SALTI DOPE

or at

LEAST A DRIP

looking for another

TEPID SOLAR

climate to live in. You could certainly not accuse me of being

A SAD LIAR POET

Perhaps I've overlooked the fact that we have been managing

DIATROPES

all this time. Hmmmm, I looked in the mirror this morning and I could be going

PLASTEROID

while not realising it. I might have a chat with

A STEROID PAL

of mine, but after I do an

ASTEROID LAP

to get fit. Yes, that would be the proper

APASTEROIDAL

thing to do.

I thnik my mind has gone

I thnik my mind has gone while thniking about this. I feels as if

I LOST A PARADE

which makes me a

LOS PAEDIATRA

I guess. Do you like my

PRADO STILE

of language ? I do have this shocking tendency to call

A SPADE A TRILObite

however. That does make

DA RIOTS PALE

into insignificance when compared with the

PALEOTRIADS

Sorry for these

RAPID TALES

as this thread probably now smells like I've found

A LOST DIAPER

Cheers, ( Time For A Lie Down ) Mike.

I considered writing

I considered writing thirty-three no's Mike.

I didn't...

:)

These are all ZERO'S, and they're all YOURS
03. ATAPILOADERS
04. ROASTPIEaadl
05. SPARTADEALio
06. DELIASPRATao
07. TOADSLIEaapr
16. ASPOILEDRATa
21. LEAPASTARdio
25. DRATSAPAILeo
29. SOLDATRIPEaa
33. LEASTADRIPao
36. DIATROPESaal
39. ASTEROIDLAPa
40. APASTEROIDAL
42. LOSPAEDIATRA
48. ALOSTDIAPERa ... which says it all really... as you've already said

:)

ONE correct
01. apalasteroid
08. ARAISEDPLOTa
09. RESIDOLAPTAA
10. PROLATEaadis
11. SIRTADPOLEaa
12. PRATSDIEaalo **
13. PROSTaaadeil **
18. RATIOSLEAPad
19. ASPLITROADae **
20. RADIOSLEPTaa
24. RATEAPLODais
26. SAILPARTEDao
30. TRIEDSOAPaaal - I did too once *screw up face* I don't eat anything that foul twice...
32. ASALTIDOPEar
34. TEPIDSOLARaa
37. PLASTEROIDaa
38. ASTEROIDPALa
41. ILOSTAPARADE
43. PRADOSTILEaa

** they were ones, but they became twos with the letter dump

TWO correct
27. IDEALPORTSaa
45. DARIOTSPALEa - they're together
46. PALEOTRIADSa - so are these and one's the same as above
23. TORPIDALASae - (this one did belong here until the letter dump turned it into a 3)

And here are the THREES
14. TAPELIARSADO - two together
22. AILDORASPATE - two together and one of them is the same as one of the two above
28. OATSALAPRIDE
35. ASADLIARPOET
47. RAPIDTALESao - not too dissimilar to the definition I'm looking for really, in a kind of loose, roundabout way...

And the FOURS
02. parasailoted
17. TARSOAPDIALe - (this was a three...)
31. TIRADEAPALSo - three together
44. ASPADEATRILO - I love trilobytes! :)

SIX correct
15. paratialodes

The first letter has been correct eight times
All letters have been correct at least once, and if you've done an exclusion matrix and haven't messed it up like I did with mine at seti yesterday, it should be looking something like this now...

A x-x-xx-xxxxx
D x--x-xxxxxx-
E -x-x-xxx-xx-
I -xx-x-xxx-x-
L xxxx-x--xx-x
O -xxx-xxx---x
P -xxx-xx-xxx-
R xx-xx-xxx-xx
S xxxxxx--x--x
T xxxxxxx--xx-

... I think. Without any more deduction than the complete garbage listed at the top allows for though

Quote:
Forgive me if any of these have been said and my review missed them.

Oh... you've decided to join us, David. How nice :) No I believe they're all new, AND all wrong... so you caught up really quickly. Well done.

49. loadparasite (1) ... it was a long time getting there though
50. parasiteload (6) - this and the next have five that are the same
51. paradiseatol (6) - may as well have not bothered posting any of the last half... ;)
52. episodalTara (2) - I love Gone with the wind!! :)

I haven't put them into the letter matrix yet. I hope you don't mind. Also, where I said eight up there... it's now more

Now if you will excuse me, there's a few things I need to say to Mike...

Quote:
You have ruled out more candidates.

It's soooooo much more satisfying finding round about ways of saying someone's wrong isn't it? *extend nose into stratosphere* And dressing up garbage in big bright red letters, then underscoring it to make me go and look it up...

I do like the idea of rating a plod though :)

Quote:
I thnik my mind has gone

...and you've just realised... awwwwwwwwww :( ...well I'm sorry you had to find out this way, but not that I'm the one that get's to confirm it :) No. But yes, I thnik it has...

Thnak you for the long chat/ravings... it was... inspiring :)

Please wait here. Further instructions could pile up at any time. Thank you.
