I was on the cover of the International Association of Fire Chiefs magazine one time, I was loaded down with stuff and trying to operate the fire engine at the same time in the picture. It was a piece on staffing and who pays the price for minimums. It was taken after I had been on for about 5 years, but turned out to be prophetic in the end!

Mike I totally agree with you on the Ebola thing, it is an OUTRAGE to not treat anyone because you can't treat everyone!! You are essentially condemning 55% of them to death!! What kind of medical association would do such a thing?! Why not a lottery or some other system that at least treats some so they don't die, then treat the rest as you get more medicine!! This is like saying 'we don't have enough flu vaccine so France, Germany and Spain don't get any this year, tough noogies guys!!' Start SOMEPLACE and get to the rest as they make more, good grief!!

Good morning!! It is now 7:40am here in Northern Virginia and it is 60F going up to a high in the low to mid 80'sF later on today, tomorrow it is supposed to be nearer 90 though! Then a fairly nice Monday and then a 30+% chance of rain every day all next week, at least my rain barrel will get refilled. My tomatoes are doing just fine, I am picking cherry sized tomatoes nearly every day. The hot pepper bush is still growing but hasn't showed any signs of setting any 'fruit' at all yet. After my last reported incident with the squirrels they have not returned...YEAH!!! I'm guessing they are finding easier pickings elsewhere as neighbors of both sides of me have gardens, but do not do anything to prevent the squirrels from partaking of their buffet of goodies. That works for me!!
