Since the New Year I have seen nothing but a not very reliable BOINC attach experiment........

Does anyone knows what is happening.......?

I have 3 task that have been ready to report since Friday last week. Is it something I am doing......? I know this though......! I am getting bored with this as I know I have not done anything to make this happen.....YAWNNNNNNNNNNN

Please get it sorted.

Illegitimus Non

Illegitimus Non Carborundum......... I won't let the bas***ds grind me down....... :) I think that is the right translation.......lol

I will add this though. If the project is down for very much longer I will have no option but to detach from the project, which is a real shame as I have just started running the project on our Dual Xeon 3.2ghz server in the office.

Unfortunately you want our processing power, I just liked the idea of this experiment. Never Mind :(

Looks like SETI will get 100% of my Centrino Duo on my Vaio and the Dual Xeon on the office server.

Can any one recommend a good project?

Well, it looks like I'll also drop from this project. I gave it a try some months back with the same identical issues. I just recently decided to to give it another try but the same story is happening all over again. I guess I'll keep on giving all my processing power to Seti@Home which has been alot more reliable on the uploads and downloads.

Why so narrow-minded? You don't have to switch projects; a foundational concept of BOINC is the ability to run several projects so that when one is down, you can continue crunching. I was with SETI classic and we didn't have that option. When it was down, it was down.

Post Script - Don't think that walking away from E@H to SETI is wise move. SETI has been down with difficulty for several days. It appears that other BOINC projects my be starting to experience what E@H has been suffering. Just another reason why it is better to have multiple project partcipitation rather than 100% participation in one project.

This is supposed to use my spare computing power not take up all my time just trying to determine manage the process.

Bingo !

That is exactly why you should donate your "spare" CPU time to more than one project. Don't walk away from E@H to another single project, participate in an additional project that you find interesting and then leave them alone. Let the projects "manage" themselves.

You don't have to manage

You don't have to manage it.

BOINC MANAGER does that.

Leave it alone. It will get work when it can.

You complaining won't make the server and database problems magically fix themselves.
