I have 4 completed units that have not uploaded and I am not receiving new work. I have restarted to see if that would help and it did not. Messages on restart did not show error. Suggestions?

Several questions:
1/ Have you made an recent changes to your system?
2/ Could your firewall be blocking BOINC's access to the internet?
3/ What is your "Connect to network about every" setting (under General Preferences)?
4/ Are you running other projects? If so, are they working OK?
5/ Could this be a "residual effect" of the Einstein server outage (that occurred on 11/23/05)?

You have upload and reported

You have upload and reported your 4 results and downloaded 2 more, according to your Host list. I assume it's fixed already? ;-)

Check stderrdae.txt. On my box Boinc said, because of the fileserver failure of course: "4 consecutive failures fetching scheduler list - deferring 604800 seconds". That's seven days! However bad Boinc thinks this is, I think seven days is an overkill. But what can one do other than wait patiently?

Here's an excerpt from boinc_cmd --get_state on host 663763:

[pre]
======== Results ========
1) -----------
name: h1_1487.5_S5R1__2567_S5R1a_1
WU name: h1_1487.5_S5R1__2567_S5R1a

report deadline: Thu Dec 7 20:46:44 2006
ready to report: yes
got server ack: no
final CPU time: 36098.947125
state: 5
scheduler state: 0
exit_status: 0
signal: 0
suspended via GUI: no
aborted via GUI: no
active_task_state: 0
stderr_out:
app version num: 0

current CPU time: 0.000000

VM usage: 0.000000
resident set size: 0.000000
estimated CPU time remaining: 0.000000

[/pre]

Why does it say fraction done = 0, even when the result is ready to report?

First off, Einstein had a

First off, Einstein had a little over a 24 hour outage, which caused several systems to go into a longer sleep mode. The longer sleep mode is a known bug, and should be improved in the next release.

Since you now see the system is running fine, you can use the Upload and Update buttons to get the files moving. Under the Transfer tab, you can click on each item and upload. Once all uploaded, under the Project tab you click on Einstein and then click update. This will then reset all those timers, and start getting you new work.

Oh yeah, that worked. Thanks for reminding about the existence of the update button.
